I usually take my own reference photos; however, I haven’t had the opportunity to be around beautiful gardens recently. Living in the great open spaces of rural Oklahoma has its benefits, but growing flowering plants is not one of them.
I was drawn to the beautiful lighting of James’ photo and asked permission to paint it. He graciously agreed.
